I went to the junk yard today for the first time! It was really fun. My research group and I went to the scrap yard to get ideas and collect parts for the collection of recycled garments and accessories we will be making this semester. The research grant we were awarded from VCU will allow us to investigate the value of using recycled materials while creating a collection of multiple one of a kind garments and accessories as art pieces.
